We were blown away by the dedication, professionalism and welcoming nature of the city’s hospitality community. The meeting achieved record attendance with close to 11,500 people, and a major part of that was Vancouver’s appeal as a destination.
Million Dollar Round Table
We’ve held our biennial GLOBE Series events in Vancouver since 1990, which hosts nearly 10,000 visitors from 60 countries. Vancouver continues to be an enormous draw for our delegates given its easy access from foreign markets (particularly Asia), it’s beauty, climate, cleanliness and reputation for safety. The cosmopolitan nature of the city lends itself to excellent food and shopping, and the tourism infrastructure is superb. We know that hosting the event in Vancouver remains a key factor in keeping delegates coming back, and inspires new delegates to want to come.

Having Vancouver as the host city was truly the best experience I’ve ever had as a meeting professional. Tourism Vancouver and the Vancouver Convention Centre get very high marks from me and rightfully so. We hope to bring our meeting back again soon.

Vancouver is truly a unique destination for conferences and meetings. The city’s spectacular beauty sets it apart and is complemented by the nature-inspired design of the LEED Platinum-certified Convention Centre. What is not as obvious is the microcosm created by three 5-star hotels adjacent to the centre and several 4-star properties within easy walking distance.
